On one axis it is necessary to replace springs only парно and with the same number BMW. Number is put on the spring end.

At replacement it is necessary to establish shock-absorbers only one execution and identical execution. The designation is resulted on a label which is on a pipe of the shock-absorber. In the second line of a label number spare parts, in the third line a code of execution of a running gear is specified: 4Z/6Z-Sport - 4/6-цилиндровый the engine a sports running gear. In the bottom line costs R or L for the right or left shock-absorber accordingly, at a sight in a movement direction.


1 Remove an amortisation rack, address to Section Removal and installation of an amortisation rack.

2 to remove the shock-absorber, it is necessary to compress a spring. The spring is compressed by means of the adaptation, for example, HAZET 4900. The specified adaptation is necessary for clamping in a vice, as is shown in an illustration. It is necessary to apply plastic linings HAZET to protection of a surface of a spring.

At all do not remove the shock-absorber if the spring is not compressed.

Insert the adaptation for compression into spring coils so that coils have been reliably captured also the adaptation could not slip out. The adaptation is under the big loading, therefore it is necessary to apply only the reliable tool. At all do not compress the adaptation a wire. There is a danger of accident!

The adaptation should be compressed only until the support will be unloaded. At all do not compress the adaptation against the stop, that is spring coils should not concern each other.

3 Turn away a fastening nut накидным a key, keeping thus a rod from turning a face key.

The nut has the big moment отворачивания. If necessary to shift a nut it is possible hammer blow on a key. 1 – динамометрический a key, 2 – the adaptation for compression, BMW-31-2-210.

4 Remove a support with a sealing ring and a washer.
5 Remove the top plate of a spring.
6 Take out the shock-absorber from a spring.

If it is necessary to replace only a spring, slowly loosen the a spring. If it is necessary to replace only the shock-absorber, the spring should remain compressed.

7 Remove a plastic spring, a cover and the bottom lining of a spring.


8 New spring has a sheeting against corrosion. Before installation check up a sheeting of springs and if necessary restore it.
9 Check up presence of damages of a cover. A plastic spring and linings under a spring. If necessary replace.
10 Enter the shock-absorber with the bottom lining of a spring, a plastic spring and a cover into the compressed spring.
11 Collect an amortisation rack. Watch that the spring adjoined to ledges of the bottom and top plates of a spring.
12 Screw a new self-stopped nut заподлицо on a shock-absorber rod.
13 Slowly loosen the a spring so that it adjoined to plates. Watch correct position of a lining of a spring (rectangular grooves).

14 Tighten a nut of fastening by the moment 65 Nm, keeping a rod from turning. To observance of the moment of an inhaling HUNDRED applies head BMW-312210 or HAZET-2927.

15 Completely loosen the a spring also remove the adaptation.
16 Establish into place an amortisation rack.
